POSITIVE PARENTING PROGRAM

Parenting is deeply rewarding, but it can also be challenging and stressful at times. The Positive Parenting Program, grounded in the Nurturing Parenting Curriculum, is a 16-week course designed to help parents build strong, healthy relationships with their children through supportive, skill-based learning.

This program combines group-based sessions with in-home parent skill building, giving families the opportunity to learn, practice, and apply new techniques in real time. By working directly in the home environment, parents and children can see skills demonstrated, begin using them right away, and integrate them into their daily routines with confidence.

Our parenting team provides ongoing guidance as families develop these new skills, offering encouragement, constructive feedback, and consistent support every step of the way.

In addition to parenting education, Hobby Horse House takes a holistic approach by addressing underlying family stressors. We connect families with community resources and supportive services tailored to their unique needs. Every aspect of the program is individualized, ensuring that services align with each family’s goals and strengths.

CO-PARENTING CLASS

Co-parenting after separation can be challenging, but with the right tools, it can also become a positive and cooperative experience for both parents and children. Our Co-Parenting Class is a convenient, fully online 4-hour course designed to help parents living apart work together more effectively.

This class focuses on building practical skills to improve communication, reduce conflict, and keep your children’s well-being at the center of every decision. Participants will learn strategies to create a cooperative parenting plan that promotes consistency, stability, and healthy development for their children.

Accessible from the comfort of your home, this course makes it easy to gain valuable insights and tools on your schedule. Upon completion, participants will receive a certificate documenting their participation.

PARTNER ABUSE INTERVENTION PROGRAM

The Partner Abuse Intervention Program (PAIP) is an evidence-based program grounded in the Duluth Model, designed to promote accountability, personal growth, and healthier relationship behaviors. The program begins with an initial assessment and orientation, followed by 27 weeks of in-person group sessions held at our office. Each session lasts two hours and provides a consistent, structured setting for learning and reflection.

PAIP offers a safe and supportive environment where participants can develop healthier ways of managing conflict and building respectful relationships. Through guided group discussions and activities, individuals gain practical skills in communication, anger management, empathy, and accountability, with a strong focus on breaking cycles of abuse.

This program is designed to foster lasting change, helping participants build safer, more positive relationships while contributing to stronger families and communities. Certificates of participation are provided upon successful completion.
