Visit Worker
 

As a Visitation Worker with Hobby Horse House, you will support children and families involved with DCFS by transporting clients to and from visits and supervising parent-child visitation in homes, community settings, or the HHH office. Visitation Workers help parents and children engage in appropriate activities, model and coach positive parenting skills, observe family interactions, and complete thorough documentation following each visit. This position plays an important role in maintaining and strengthening family relationships while supporting safety, stability, permanency, and family reunification.

As a Homemaker with Hobby Horse House, you will work directly with children and families to strengthen their ability to maintain a safe, stable, and healthy home environment. Homemakers provide hands-on support and education in areas such as household management, organization, cleaning, budgeting, meal planning, parenting routines, and other daily living skills based on each family’s individual needs. Through encouragement, modeling, and practical skill-building, you will help families develop greater independence, improve the functioning of their household, and create a more nurturing environment for their children.

Driver
 

As a Transportation Driver with Hobby Horse House, you will provide safe, reliable transportation for children and families receiving services through DCFS. Transportation Drivers help clients get to and from scheduled visits, appointments, placements, and other approved locations while maintaining a safe, professional, and supportive environment throughout the trip. This position is a great opportunity for dependable individuals who enjoy being on the road, working independently, and playing an important role in helping children and families stay connected and access the services they need.

As an Administrative Assistant with Hobby Horse House, you will help keep the agency’s day-to-day operations organized, efficient, and welcoming for the children, families, staff, and community partners we serve. Administrative Assistants provide essential office support through tasks such as answering phones, managing correspondence and records, preparing and organizing documents, assisting with scheduling, maintaining confidential information, and supporting staff with a variety of administrative needs. Community Connections Specialists help families in the short term identify their needs and strengths, develop individualized goals, connect with community resources, overcome barriers, and build skills that promote greater stability and well-being. This position is a great opportunity for a compassionate, resourceful professional who enjoys building relationships, problem-solving, and helping families access the support they need to thrive.

As a Mental Health Counselor with Hobby Horse House, you will provide therapeutic support to children, adults, and families as they navigate challenges, strengthen relationships, and work toward greater emotional and behavioral well-being. Counselors provide individualized, family-focused services that may include assessment, treatment planning, individual and family counseling, crisis support, collaboration with caseworkers and other professionals, and ongoing documentation of client progress.
